Little Dude Films’ first two completed projects are two short 35mm films: Deathless and Shades of Beige. Both films are directed by Aimee Powell and feature established, award-winning screen, stage and television actors and rising stars. Deathless stars Ed Speleers (Downton Abbey, A Lonely Place To Die, Eragon), Joseph Mawle (Birdsong, The Awakening, Game of Thrones, Made in Dagenham, The Passion) and Jane How (Miss Potter, Poirot, Midsomer Murders). Shades of Beige stars Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey, Hanna, Cranford, The Turn of the Screw) and Edward Hogg (Anonymous, Bunny and the Bull, White Lightnin’, Our Class).
The initial response to the Deathless short film has already been very positive. In the words of Martin Poultney, Head of Feature Film Sales at Ascent 142, who did the post production on the film: “We at Ascent 142 are very impressed with Deathless. The production values are incredibly high and it is an extremely well crafted piece on all levels. We look forward to the feature length version with anticipation.”
Shades of Beige has also been very well received and has been shortlisted in several film festivals, including the 2012 London Short Film Festival. See above for more details.
