Little Dude Films is developing a feature film project, entitled The Lost Blonde, about the life and career of legendary Hollywood actress Veronica Lake.
Ian Beaumont is currently co-writing the screenplay with American author Donald Bain, who co-wrote Veronica Lake’s self-titled autobiography with her in the late 1960s. Donald is the author of more than 120 books in a variety of genres, including 43 bestselling Murder, She Wrote novels.
Talking about the project, Ian Beaumont says: “Veronica Lake was an iconic American actress of the 1940s and 1950s and yet she’s been nearly forgotten today. It’s a real thrill to be working with Donald Bain on this screenplay and film about her life. Hopefully, The Lost Blonde will lead to her being rediscovered and bring her to the attention of a whole new audience of fans and admirers.”
Commenting on the creative collaboration with Ian Beaumont, Donald Bain says: “Ian’s vision of a feature film based upon the saga of Veronica Lake, focusing both on her days as a Hollywood star and her tumultuous post-Hollywood life, is inspired as well as sensitive and insightful. Veronica and I were friends and I treasure working with him on bringing her story to the big screen.”
