Little Dude Films’ first feature film, South of the River, will have its premiere screening at this year’s virtual Cannes Film Festival, called Cannes XR Virtual, which is happening as a standalone online event between 22 and 26 June 2020, on account of the restrictions imposed due to COVID-19.
According to the festival organisers, Cannes XR Virtual will feature conferences, pitching sessions and film presentations, which will be made available via a 2D live video stream on the Cannes Film Festival (Marché du Film online), Tribeca Film Festival and Kaleidoscope websites.
Glass House Distribution, South of the River’s global distributors, have confirmed that the film is generating considerable interest ahead of the festival from sales agents around the world, which will be enhanced by its screening at Cannes.
Our film has also received the support of Sir Tim Rice, the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) awards winner and composer of The Lion King and Aladdin, who says: “Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman and now South of the River. Good luck with the film.”
