As we edge towards the conclusion of an eventful year, we just wanted to update you on some Little Dude news re our current and forthcoming projects and activities. You can find more details about all of the below projects elsewhere on our website:
A Short Showreel
Following our well received longer form showreel, we’ve now completed a second, shorter showreel, which includes brief clips from Little Dude Films’ produced film and TV work over the course of the company’s 15 year existence. Again, Matthew McKinnon of EditMSM provided his invaluable editing skills in putting it all together.
From Mother, With Love
Our latest short film, the comedy/drama From Mother, With Love, directed by Gabi Wood, written by Mark A.C. Brown and produced by Ian Beaumont of Little Dude Films is now completed and hitting the film festival circuit. We plan to screen the film for its brilliant cast and crew in the new year and will update you about its progress in festivals, as soon as we hear back from those we’ve entered it into.
The Lost Blonde Play
We are moving forward with the theatrical version of The Lost Blonde: The Veronica Lake Story, which we aim to put on at a prestigious London theatre at some point in 2025.
We are delighted to welcome production assistants Marion Krim and Hannah Rainbow as new members of The Lost Blonde team. Marion and Hannah were both selected out of over 130 people who responded to an advert we recently posted for a new PA/Researcher on the project. They join director, Rohan Gotobed; general managers, Carrie Croft and Conor Dye of Croft and Dye Productions; art director/set designer, Ellie Wintour; PA, Jonah Kastner; and the project’s writer/producer, Ian Beaumont as members of the team. We’ll update you with progress with the staging of the play during 2025.
Thanks, Terry
Finally, we just wanted to say a big thank you to Terry Waeland of ID2 Design for his excellent work in updating the content on this website recently, including in designing the poster for The Lost Blonde play. Both Terry and Stewart Guyan of Webways have undertaken invaluable work in modernising and updating our website over the years and we are very grateful for their creativity and hard work.
All our very best for the festive Season and here’s to a peaceful and successful 2025 for us all.
