SYNOPSIS:
Waving at Strangers is the pilot episode of a proposed six-part TV series, focussing on different aspects of male behaviour in contemporary British society. The series of 30 minute episodes features six main recurring characters, including three men (Oscar, Aaron and Ras) and three women (Oscar’s girlfriend Kate, Aaron’s girlfriend Gracie and Ras’s boss Phoebe). The series explores various aspects of masculinity in these times of gender uniformity and politically correct idealism, at work, in society and in people’s personal lives. It addresses a range of controversial and dividing issues, including those around sexuality, aggression and ambition, with a serious tone and depth, while also playing off themes with dark comedy, in a diverse style, which we believe will appeal to a broad adult audience.
